Do you have a holiday party coming up at your child's school? Hosting a kids' holiday party? Grab some applesauce pouches or yogurt pouches and make these ADORABLE reindeer pouches! Simple and oh so cute. Everyone will love them.
Here's how we created these cute reindeer!
Supplies:
- Applesauce Pouches (or any pouch food or drink)
- Brown Construction Paper
- Gold or Brown Pipe Cleaners
- Googly Eyes
- Red or Black pom poms
Directions:
- Start by getting enough of the supplies as you need. I needed to make for 20 students. I used 5 sheets of construction paper cut into 3-4 inch sections, 20 pipe cleaners, 40 Googly Eyes, and 20 red pom poms (ours are Rudolph). I used 20 applesauce pouches. You could use any type of food pouch or drink pouch/box.
- Attach the pipe cleaners around the cap of the pouch. Then bend to make look like antlers.
- Cut the construction paper into wide strips (about 3-4 inches wide). Then bend around the pouch to get creases on the paper.
- Attach the Googly Eyes to the construction paper using hot glue or school glue. Hot glue dries quickly and makes for faster completion.
- Next, attach the pom pom nose under the eyes with hot glue or school glue.
- Use a black sharpie or black marker to draw a mouth on the reindeer. Use a simple 'U' shape or make it silly.
- Fold the construction paper around the pouch and attach with clear tape or Washi tape. You can also use hot glue, but be cautious of possibly melting the pouch.
- Make any adjustments to the antlers. You can even add smaller pieces of pipe cleaners to make the antlers look more like antlers.
