Nature programs, at their root, are wonderful programs or curriculums that get kids outside to play in a purposeful way and learn some important skills in the process. Studies do prove that learning is done when play is involved!
In and around Williamsport, we have THREE nature-based programs. Below you will find some information about each program and links to their websites to learn more!
Tinkergarten
Besides being a mom, wife, and your publisher, I am also a Tinkergarten Leader. I discovered Tinkergarten when my kids just turned 2. I had signed up for a free trial, a nice feature that Tinkergarten offers, and took my twins to it! After going I was AMAZED of how much we all needed this program.
Tinkergarten is a way for families to get outdoors and make the most of their children's early learning years. Tinkergarten was created and put together by education experts and is LOVED by families all over the country! Our program helps to guide parents in helping raise healthy, confident, and capable kids through outdoor play! Tinkergarten offers live, weekly sessions, an at-home curriculum, and a rich learning community that makes purposeful outdoor play doable for every family.
If you are interested in finding out more, be sure to join me and other local families during one of our classes. We hold classes on Wednesday mornings from 10:00-11:00 at the Muncy Heritage Park on Pepper Street. I will be hosting a Lantern Walk in December! This will be open to surrounding communities. Be sure to check our Event's Calendar for details when it is added! Winter Trial classes will be happening in January of 2022 with our Winter Season, Animal Superheros, will kick-off in January.
Wildlings Forest School
Wildlings Kin & Kinder is a joyful, play-based nature program for kids ages 18 months to 4 years old and a caregiver of their choice. This program was offered in Bloomsburg at the Bloomsburg Town Park. This class is finished for the fall season but stay tuned for more information on the next season.
Wildlings Camp is a joyful, play-based nature camp for kids entering K through 5th grade. This camp is once a week, Wednesday mornings from 9 am to 11 am at the Robert Porter Allen Natural Area in South Williamsport, home to beautiful, rugged wetlands and fields. This class also just wrapped up its season, but stay tuned for more information about upcoming classes!

Nature Explorations
In Nature Explorations, children will create, discover and explore in nature. There will be an infusion of mathematics, social studies, literacy, science, creative arts, and more!
Nature Explorations has several options available for children in the area. Nature Explorers program is for children ages three to five years old. The Afterschool Nature Adventures Program is for children ages six to ten years old.
