This week Macaroni Kid rounded up 5 of our FAVORITE State Parks to visit! With the week starting on Memorial Day, we thought listing our 5 favorite State Parks would be a good thing to share! Be sure to pack a lunch and enjoy the sunshine.
π³ 1. World's End State Park
Worlds End State Park is situated in a narrow S-shaped valley of the Loyalsock Creek, just south of Forksville, Sullivan County. Head up Route 87 to find this beautiful park. The park offers many opportunities for family fun! There is a swimming area, concession stand, hiking trails, scenic views, and much more! Pack a lunch or head into Forksville to the Forksville General Store for a yummy lunch!

The Susquehanna State Park is a 20-acre riverfront recreational area in the city of Williamsport. Looking for something fun to do...board the Hiawatha! Visit the Queen of the Susquehanna, one of the most popular attractions in central Pennsylvania! The Hiawatha offers five days a week of daily river cruises, specialty cruises for all ages, and private charter rentals from May through October. A fun time for all!

Milton State Park is an 82-acre island on the West Branch Susquehanna River, between the boroughs of Milton and West Milton. The park offers a day-use area (northern area) with bathrooms and plenty of family fun, and the southern half has a wooded area for hiking and nature study. This park also has a boat lunch and access to the river for water play. Be sure to pack a lunch to enjoy the sunshine and all the park has to offer!

The 2,158-acre Little Pine State Park is surrounded by a beautiful mountain section of Tiadaghton State Forest in the Pennsylvania Wilds. This park has a 45-acre lake, hiking trails, a campground, and even has nesting bald eagles! Little Pine has many attractions to entice all members of the family!
π³ 5. R. B. Winter State Park
Raymond B. Winter State Park covers 695 acres of the Ridge and Valley Province in central Pennsylvania. Located within Bald Eagle State Forest, the park lies in a shallow basin surrounded by rocky ridges covered with an oak and pine forest. This park has a beautiful beach area for swimming and fun! Enjoy one of the many hiking trails and enjoy some ice cream from the concession stand.
