With the weather getting warmer, I decided to do this week's recommendations on 5 places to throw rocks and play in the water! The kids and I enjoy exploring these parks and playing in the water!
💦 1. Riverfront Park
Riverfront Park is a wonderful place to explore with kids and adults alike. Located along the banks of the Susquehanna, this park offers miles of beautiful scenery and lots of places to skip or throw rocks!
🛶 2. Milton State Park
Milton State Park is located on an island on the West Branch Susquehanna River, between the boroughs of Milton and West Milton. The northern half of the park offers day-use facilities and the southern half offers a wooded area for hiking and nature study. A fun place to explore and throw rocks! Pack a lunch to enjoy this beautiful section of the Susquehanna River!
🐿️ 3. Montour Preserve
This is a wonderful park just outside of Washingtonville, near Danville. This park offers lots to do with water play and they even have a fossil pit! You can explore, hike, and dig for fossils at this hidden gem! One of our favorites to explore on a nice sunny day!
🌱 4. Muncy Heritage Park
This little hidden spot is located along Pepper Street in Muncy. The Susquehanna River runs near the park and is a fun spot to toss rocks. In June, July, and August, it is a great place to cool off and take a dip. Stroll through the nature trails in the main park.

Located just off Arch Street near the Hiawatha, is this lovely park. Enjoy a stroll along the river, a ride on the Hiawatha (season dependant), or splash in the water! Another park to pack a lunch for or enjoy one of the many local restaurants.
