A Mommy Me Photo Shoot with Ana D Photography and a Family Photo Shoot GIVEAWAY!
Photos of my twins, I have hundreds. Photos of my hubby and the kids, I have a bunch. Photos of other family members and my kids, yup I have several. You know one thing I don't have a bunch of? My kids and I(unless you count random selfies)? Yup, those images I don't have many of at all.
After looking through photos my mom friends post, I wondered why moms are rarely, if never, in photos. Are moms too busy capturing the photos of their kids to get in the picture? Are they worried about how they look? (I know I often think that.) I think we, as moms, need to get in front of the camera more. Be in those moments with your kids and family. Don't worry about the messy hair, unmatched outfit, or those extra pounds only you see.
I have always wanted to do a Mommy and Me session, but I have always come up with a reason not to do it. My excuses, to name a few, I am too busy... we won't be home... will my kids sit still long enough? When I saw that Ana D Photography was offering Mommy and Me Photo sessions, I immediately contacted her! Finally, I wasn't going to let my excuses or lack of confidence stop me this time.
Boy, am I glad I did!
Ana D had an absolutely beautiful setup for the photos. She had a gorgeous backdrop that looked as if you were really sitting in an inviting sunroom on a warm sunny day. It was bright and airy, and amazingly comfortable.
Ana D took some posed photos. You know the ones where you are sitting nicely and your kids look like angels! Some of them giving me kisses, looking up at me, and lying on me (their favorite thing to do). Then she snapped some photos of us reading one of our favorite books, Guess How Much I Love You, and the photos look as if we are in our own home, snuggled up enjoying family time. She even snapped some sweet kisses from children! The time just flew by as Ana D snapped photos. I was in awe of the time we spent getting photos of just us. No time frame, no rush, nothing but fun and quality time spent together!
Have you been holding off getting those photos of you and your kids? Get them done, book a session, or have family take those precious photos. Before you know it, your kids will be grown. Be sure to have photos of you and your kids to show them down the road. And to be honest, I can't wait to recreate these photos in 10 or 20 years!
