The Lycoming Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution cordially invite you and your daughter to their second annual Tea Party Luncheon served in 1850s Victorian Style in the Grand Ballroom of the historical Peter Herdic Hotel now Park Place on Saturday March 24th from 11:30 am to 3 pm. Victorian Era enthusiast and former Kindergarten and Elementary Education teacher Patty Shriner, will present “The Language of Fans.” Girls will learn first hand the hows and whys of using a Victorian Fan.

Enjoy a Lovely Tea

Our lunch menu includes a selection of scones, madelines, tea sandwiches (including PB&J), canapes, fresh fruit, scrumptious desserts, sweet treats, tea and punch served at your table. We planned with children in mind, so please choose your teacup size: Standard Adult teacup, Medium Child Size (demitasse cup) or Children’s playset for very small hand.

Wear Something Fancy

Any dress style is welcome however, we encourage fancy party dresses, historic era dresses, big hats and white gloves. Why? We are taking your pictures upon arrival. As you depart the party you will receive a complimentary 5 x 7 keepsake portrait in Historical style as a gift.

Win Prizes

Girls love to win prizes, so we are giving away a variety of doll and tea themed door prizes. The numbered coupon attached to your event ticket is your chance to win. Winning a new American Girl Doll is the ultimate. Register for a special drawing to win a grand prize 1774 American Girl “Felicity” doll with Felicity’s accessories, undergarments, and book. We are also giving away three American Girl “BeForever” Mini Felicity Dolls with a paperback books, and many other special prizes!

Visit the Doll Store 

Girls who love their American Girl Dolls also love to shop for them. Please visit the “Doll Store” located in the alcove of the ballroom where you’ll find handcrafted 18” doll clothes and accessories by our own “Grannie Roo.” Grannie Roo features 1700’s style dresses like those worn by American Girl “Felicity”. Some of the patterns used for these historical period dresses are the original Pleasant Company patterns before Pleasant Company was sold to Mattel and became American Girl. Grannie Roo also offers a selection on contemporary style spring doll dresses and accessories such as doll size tea party cake & pie. Doll store prices range from fifty cents to sixty dollars. The doll store opens before the tea party at 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and immediately following the tea party from 2:45 - 3:00 p.m. A complete listing of Doll Store items will be located in hand- out at the Welcome Table as you check in.
