Alisha Baranoski creates bath bombs, soaps, makeups, lip butters, and perfume from her home in Kulpmont, PA. She was determined that she would be a stay-at-home mom and homeschool her kids but also wanted to do meaningful work that she was passionate about. The fact that she’s a single mom didn’t deter her. In fact, developing a business that she could do from her home became even more of a priority.
She tried her hand at a few things that weren’t exactly a fit for her, but when she made her first bath bomb, she knew she had found something that she not only loved, but was very talented at. She named her business using her sons’ middle names, Alex and Isaac, and asked her teenage brother to draw a logo.
Maybe it’s the love and passion that she pours into her work that makes her products so wildly popular. Some of her most best-selling bath bombs are Very Berry, which is a mix of cherry and raspberry, Fresh Brewed Coffee, and a men’s scent, Fierce.
Popular lip butter flavors are Strawberry Cheesecake, Bubble Gum, and Rum and Cola.
Her eyeshadows are bright and colorful, and people who use them say they always get compliments. Her most popular eyeshadow colors are Silver Fox, Pixie, Mermaid, and Canary. Her organic facial oil cleanser also works well for removing makeup.
Her three-year-old son, Storm, gets in on the action by choosing scents for the rubber duck soaps. He even helps her pour soap into the molds. Kids absolutely love the Storm-inspired Ginger Orange Crazy Hair Duck Soap. Moms love that they encourage their kids to wash. The more you wash, the closer you get to freeing the duck.
The next scent of bath bombs will be Caramel Corn.
